Rio Equestrian Club was founded in 2010 and covers an area of 3 acres, in a lovely green landscape. Only 5 minutes away from home, it includes a large parking space and it is available for all kinds of social gatherings, events and galas. Initially, the Club’s purpose was to highlight the role of riding sports at an either educational or racing level. It employs experienced teachers, through a vast range of courses that meet with the needs of each level. At the same time, a small shop right next to the stables, offers a variety of products and riding equipment. Applicants can participate in the Academy’s/ Rio Equestrian Academy educational programs, by riding across the countryside or in a special field within the area of the Club.

The Academy’s major goal is to develop students’ (young and adults) potential in order to obtain the Athlete’s Official License (by the Hellenic Equestrian Federation). Having acquired their license, riders can take part in various sports competitions. Fully aware of the sport’s therapeutic effects on people suffering from mental, emotional or/and other disorder, it promotes the activity of riding, as a means to improve one’s health and quality of life. For that matter, the Club maintains a non-profitable character towards children with special needs. Recognizing the unique bond, between man and horse…

The Club’s chalet architecture along with the beauty of the natural scenery is suitable for short escapes or exquisite meals, next to the company of horses… The remodeled interior Ippos Wine & Dine holds the most wonderful surprises, combining colonial décor with a fascinating view of Patraikos bay, while the dazzling beauty of an artificial pond at the entrance is something guests will remember…
